On 1 March, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Development and Finance Mateusz Morawiecki arrived at the Indian Quay, where he met with representatives of Vistal Gdynia S.A. Capital Group. The meeting was related to the launch of the bridge construction project in Tana bru in the north of Norway. The new construction will replace the existing bridge from 1948, which does not meet the requirements of modern motor transport. – It is particularly pleasing that this contract is the first case when a Polish company together with a local partner is the general contractor of an investment in Norway – emphasised the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Development and Finance Mateusz Morawiecki.
Vistal Group is a leading manufacturer of specialist, large-scale steel structures of the highest quality. It is the contractor of many bridge constructions in Poland. This shows that the integration of development institutions makes a lot of sense as it allows to calm down the approach to many complicated projects and to implement them safely, not only technically, but also financially – said Deputy Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. Using KUKE S.A. services, Vistal Gdynia S.A. signed a contract for delivery of two cranes to Algerian port Djen Djen, by its Spanish contractor. – Due to our strong foreign expansion, when insuring export receivables and issuing insurance contract guarantees we use not only the support of KUKE but also of PZU Group – added Ryszard Matyka, Chairman of the Board of Vistal Gdynia S.A.
One of the Vistal Group’s specializations is also construction of oil rigs, most recently for Statoil in Norway. – Thanks to obtaining financing from such entities as PKO BP SA or BGK, we are able to execute prestigious Polish and foreign contracts. Our flagship investment – a production hall at Nabrzeże Indyjskie (Indian Quay) – unique in the Baltic Sea region, was financed with an investment loan granted by PKO BP SA. Today, on its premises we manufacture the most complex, large-size steel constructions e.g. for bridges or oil rigs – said the president Ryszard Matyka.
